Each week the These Days staff comes across great music from Chicago artists that we could not provide individual features for. In an effort to keep our readers up to date with more of our recent favorites, the Round Up segment provides quick summaries and additional noteworthy content. Check out our latest picks below and feel free to submit a comment if you feel we missed something.

Famous Dex (Ft. Dice Soho) • "Ciabatta"

Following up his recent release "Ciabatta", Famoyus Dex and Dice Soho link with Laka Films for the official visual for the track. Like many Famous Dex visuals, there are plenty of drink, smoke and of course ciabatta on deck! As the onslaught of new music continues for the rising Chicago star, I'd expect his OhhMannGoddDamm tape to surface sooner rather than later.

Kashow (Ft. DLeiter) • Suspect (Mathien Remix)

Mathien remixed a song featuring two lesser-known artists and after a listen it’s apparent why he chose this song from these artists. Kashow’s lyricism is a stand-out and DLeiter’s vocals are perfect for Mathien’s laid-back instrumentation. But even better than the song is the way Mathien came to doing this remix. Kashow’s girlfriend, Alex, emailed Kashow’s SoundCloud link to Mathien and Mathien immediately fell in love with “Suspect,” despite his reluctance to work with artists he meets through the internet. And come to find out Mathien and Kashow grew up in the same neighborhood (just 13 years apart). Fate.

Montana of 300 & Talley of 300 • "MF's Mad Part 2"

300 affiliates Montana and Talley present a follow up to their 2015 banger "Mf’s Mad" which debuted on their Gunz N Roses project. Mf’s Mad Part 2 is the perfect encapsulation of Montana of 300’s signature pop-drill style. The revamp on Part 2 keeps the core hook and fundamentals but trade their flow for a faster deliverance.

Plain Dave (Ft. Captain Jaybe) • "DASRAW"

Plain Dave and Captain Jaybe hits us with some new heat just in time for this warm Chicago weather. The two have been cooking up a little project for quiet some time, this being the second drop from their forthcoming EP. Still no official name for the project or a release date, but expect the collaboration to drop sometime this spring.

It’s been about a year since TLNTD’s last drop on soundcloud, and we were beginning to grow weary. But never fear, TLNTD (formerly TalentedAsKB) breaks the hiatus and rings in the new year with his latest track STYLIN. He stated himself “Your new favorite song until my next drop”, which means we can expect another single from the MC very soon.
