Courtlin Jabrae (Ft. Fya Man) • "Hours"

Directed by Jordan Clark

Courtlin Jabrae may not have the biggest buzz going on in Chicago rap at the moment, but he is certainly in possession of one of the most underrated voices among Illinois artists. The southern Illinois rapper can seamlessly switch his flow between rap and song, his instrument carrying surprising range and power. “Hours” is an excellent demonstration of this gift, a song that allows Courtlin to showcase both his rapping and singing, and the ease with which he moves between them.

And now we have the "Hours" visual, rounding out what has become the total package of a song. Besides the (always) fire verse you get from the Fya Man, and pumped up production from Ric-and-Thadeus, now we have some eye-candy too. The black and white music video somehow stays lush with quality work from Jordan Clark behind the camera, and an always excellent track now has even more reasons to come back to it. Courtlin Jabrae's art has him constantly running out of daylight, but what are you doing? Find the time, check out the new "Hours" visual and get back to us.
