Sean Deaux (Ft. theMIND) • "Drunk"

THEMpeople do more for the city of Chicago than some may give them credit for. Producing full EPs in 2015 for artists like Mick Jenkins, Jean Deaux, and more, they provided the backdrops for some of the strongest songs of the year. Another EP to add to that list is Sean Deaux's EP, Vice City, which dropped last April and which remained one of my favorite projects of the year.

Now, as we enter into 2016, Deaux decided to let loose the single "Drunk" last night on New Year's Eve. Closing out the year with an alcohol induced flow, the instrumentation pitter patters while Deaux mumbles and stumbles through a bottle of something strong. The track comes produced by THEMpeople (thankfully/of course) with background vocal assistance from affiliate theMIND, who was most recently featured a couple of times on Kirk Knight's stellar debut Late Knight Special. In less than three minutes, "Drunk" takes on many shapes and styles, into one (properly titled) inebriated number.

Look out for Sean Deaux's Vice City 2 EP, dropping "SOON AS FUCK", according to his SoundCloud description. I'll be impatiently waiting.
