Yung Creatives is a monthly panel curated and hosted by These Days' Jake Krez at Soho House Chicago. To provide added insight on the talented young people taking the stage during the next discussion, we've decided to pair the event with a series of digital features. Over the upcoming weeks, we'll turn the spotlight on each member of the forthcoming panel one at a time.
Shervan Salon, is also known as the trap for Chicago’s most sought after manicurist. Tacarra "Spifster" Sutton is an artist known for her innovative and edgy nail designs. This young lady is self taught graphic designer and got her nickname Spifster for her ability to make anything "spiffy”. Sutton's precisely-painted lines and one-of-kind geometric designs have dressed the digits of celebs like Jennifer Hudson, Chrisette Michele & Adrienne Bailon, as well as a long list of devoted clients country-wide who keep her on speed dial for "spiffing".
In her journey as a nail artist, Spifster took on the task of personal branding in the digital world as well as the real world. Taking on the everyday task of managing her own social media accounts, Spifster has grown her influence over the year by showcasing her talent. With over 21,000 Instagram followers, social media has been a key tool in Spifter being able to travel to different cities across the country to give women the manicures of their dreams.
Along with graphic design, digital marketing and nail styling; Spifster can now add interior home design to her resume. Her latest project, Decospiff, will take the traditional home decor world and flip it on its head by blending Spifster's artistic expression with the utility of everyday home goods.
